Garment Care & Washing Instruction

Our laundry habits play a significant contribution to climate change, energy consumption and environmental pollution. By shifting a few simple habits especially in our laundry, we can minimize our impact on the earth and get the most life out of our garments.

90% of the energy used by washing machines goes towards heating the water.

Washing your laundry with cold water will save energy and help preserve your clothes.
The detergent that you use is what makes the difference in wash results, not the temperature of the water.

The use of acidic products ( vinegar, lemon… ) in your naturally dyed garment can alter the color of the garment.
Wash your clothes using cold water only.
Iron your garments at minimum temperature.
     Do not use bleach,
     Do not dry cleaning,
     Do not tumble dry,
Do not use chemical products into your garment,
Do not expose your dyed garments to sunlight for long periods of time.

Our garments have been pre-washed, so when the garments washed in cold water and air-dried in a flat surface with no heat as we recommend, shrinkage won’t happen.
